I'm a game designer with 3+ years of industry experience with a passion for storytelling. It's my goal to create compelling interactive stories with memorable characters and engaging gameplay. I take quests all the way from concept to ship, handling the pitch, design, and implementation at every stage of development. I script events, NPC interactions, level sequences, and more in Unreal using Blueprints.

Designed quests within the bounds of an existing IP, iterating as necessary to align with that setting’s rules and themes
Responsible for creating and organizing documentation relating to Content, including Story, Characters, Levels, and Worlds
Documented quests visually to ensure gameplay variety and track quest pacing
Created maps denoting mob spawn points, NPC placement, and points of interest to visualize quest flow and density for each level
Provided descriptions of NPCs, environments, and points of interest for the Art Department based on Design’s gameplay and story needs
Collaborated with artists on levels to optimize player flow, craft visually striking moments, and create areas for exploration
Created a calculator to measure how much time a player is expected to spend in each location to ensure each one has enough objectives and activities for players to do
Wrote GDDs for character creation, including UI mock-ups
Created graybox levels using Unreal Engine and Blender
Created modular rooms for rapid creation of levels using modular assets in Unreal Engine
Responsible for implementing quests and placing NPCs in a proprietary game engine
Launched Live Service Title — Crowfall (MMO)

Pitched, designed, and implemented both story and gameplay for dozens of quests, taking them from concept to ship
Collaborated with writers to create compelling stories while ensuring narrative moments led to engaging gameplay, and vice versa
Used Unreal Blueprints to create bespoke narrative moments and memorable combat encounters
Revised designs based on playtest feedback from both within my team and from other departments
Created branching dialogue flows that allowed for player agency in how they wanted to experience the story
Documented designs at every step from pitch, paper design, and implementation
Utilized Level Sequencer to create in-game cutscenes for important narrative moments
Maintained all of the game’s tutorials and worked with the UI/UX team for their implementation as we transitioned the game from MMO to standalone/co-op ARPG
Worked closely with artists to ensure each element of my designs simultaneously supported the player’s experience while also achieving the artist’s visual goals
Prototyped props, quest interactables, and more with the desired design functionality and temp SFX, VFX, animation, etc. that other departments could later finalize
Created bite sized and replayable quests designed to guide the player to unique and interesting locations in the game’s open world
Refactored quests, tutorials, blueprints, etc., from their live service iterations into the intended functionality for co-op play
Provided names and lore for dozens of weapons, items, equipment, styles and more
Designed and implemented seasonal quests that brought the player from the overworld into the seasonal gameplay loop of the MMO
Owned and maintained the Jobs system, the MMO’s daily and weekly quests
Coordinated with level designers and environment artists to create compelling vistas and control player flow through handcrafted spaces in the overworld
